After his wife’s death, a grieving man retreats into silence and alcohol while his daughter is overseas.
In desperation, he turns to an AI to hear her voice again – only for the echo he seeks to return to him, not like he expected.
The line between loss, memory, and presence blurs as he confronts the living echo of the past.

PRIRVA

short film (12 min)

Through PRIRVA (Ukrainian for “abyss”), Mia brings to the forefront the most vital bond in a person’s life: the family bond. It can take many forms, yet it always plays an essential role in shaping who we are.

Every family has its own skeletons in the closet, and each person faces a choice: to break the cycle, or to become part of it.

The film explores guilt and its denial, love and hatred, and the hardest thing of all: saying sorry.
